If you’ve never visited a riad before you may not know what to expect. The images below illustrate the gentle calm of the simply furnished rooms and the warmth of the decor. Ryad Laarouss has been completely refurbished in a traditional Moroccan style while ensuring western comfort, with en-suite facilities in each of the three bedrooms.
A riad is typically built around an inner courtyard and this architectural style magically eliminates the noise from the busy streets outside. The courtyard in Ryad Laarouss is open to the sky and features a plunge pool with a restful seating area. Meals may be taken in the courtyard, where you can dine beneath the stars!
The ground floor also comprises a welcoming hallway, fully fitted kitchen and large sitting room with a music centre for your pleasure, plus a peaceful salon. The first floor has a balcony looking down to the courtyard, with comfortable sofas and chairs and access to the bedrooms. At the top, there is a roof terrace where you can relax, sunbathe or enjoy the stunning sunset across the rooftops.

“ .... step inside, close the doors behind you and the serenity of this beautiful private home enfolds and embraces you. A truly fantastic break." Mara, Australian Journalist, Sept ‘05
“ ... After a stroll through the souks or a visit to the ancient Koran school, the Medersa, you can enjoy a siesta on the sunny roof terrace with a view of the Atlas mountains... ” Iris, Belgian Interpreter, Oct ‘06
